Brief Physical Description:

Lisa is of average height for an Englishwoman at 5'3". She is of petite build and toned from sport and work and weighs in at just over ten stone. She is fair skinned and blonde with large blue eyes and a willing smile most of the time. Her right thigh is massively scarred from an incident with a backfiring curse during the war. She has the emblem for the Manchester United football club tattooed on the small of her back and no other markings or piercings.

She was known in school for wearing track suit bottoms, trainers and a red tank almost all of the time, seldom even wearing jeans. Always a bit of a tom boy (and a tiny bit Chav)she's not changed much. It's all about comfort. She always carries her wand, her wallet (purse in English), and a packet of fags as she's taken up smoking since her Mum's death. On her wrist is always the silver charm bracelet her Mum gave her on her 16th birthday.

Brief Personality Description:

Curiosity killed the cat; satisfaction brought it back. If ever a wizard exhibited a danger of self destruction from too much knowledge, surely it was a Ravenclaw Scorpio. It doesn't matter whether the pet obsession this week is botany, Muggle pop music, or the history of the Necronomicon, if a Ravenclaw Scorpio wants to know about it, then he will, and damn the consequences: full speed ahead. Indeed, just mention that a subject is "forbidden" and you'll see a peculiar light shine in their eyes. They sneak into locked rooms after dark, and forge passes to the restricted library sections. The lust for arcane knowledge is both the greatest strength of these wizards, and the Achilles heel. It's best to indulge them whenever possible and let the obsession burn itself out; and, when this is not possible, to explain in great detail and absolutely *no* patronizing why the subject must not be explored. These Ravenclaws are quiet and secretive, but don't be fooled by that calm and placid exterior; they have hidden depths.

Like most Ravenclaw Scorpios, Obsessive describes Lisa in a word. Though she is capable of putting up a good front of indifference, things fall neatly between love and hate. The quickest way to pique her interest is to tell her no. That tendency for obsession is one of her biggest weaknesses. Not only can her latest passion absorb her completely to the detriment of everything else around her, but she can also be very close minded if she gets her back up.

Thankfully this is usually balanced out by the fact that Lisa is really a nice person. She has a great sense of humor, makes friends easily and keeps them through a very loving personality. Friends are likely to tease her about her obsession with muggle music and football, especially when she starts banging on about The New York Dolls, The Smiths, The Sex Pistols, Roy Keane & Gary Neville. A chronic collector, she has a wealth of memorabilia to explain what she's talking about, though her most prized possessions stay well hidden.

All in all, Lisa's just a down to earth girl. She loves bright colors like baby blue, lime green, and red. Her mates often grimace as she tosses down chips and garlic mayo with a chaser of Strongbow Cider. It takes a bit to get her brassed, but she's a formidable opponent once you've crossed that line. Life's bright when you're in the pile of things she loves, but find yourself on the other end of her temper and you may never find your way back.

Brief History of your character: Elspeth MacDougal-Turpin had just graduated from Slytherin and Hogwarts School in June of 1976. She set out to experience life at her parents' expense until she decided on her future. Her parents, Step-father Gregor, and Mother, Melificent had high hopes for their only daughter, but thought it best that she come to terms with her future on her own. Never once did they suspect that their hopes would come to nowt. Elspeth's idea of experience centred around muggle men of media success. Musicians and footballers.

Night after night, party after party she 'experienced' life. Until one night found her with child. It was 1979. Single, unsure of the parentage and knowing no one would claim fatherhood, the woman used her wiles to secure a small fortune. Her parents having cut her off. She found sanctuary and tranquility in the seaside town of Whitby, in Northern Yorkshire. She found her future in a large, but dilapidated pub and restaurant. In the nine months of her pregnancy she brought change upon her new home, and on herself.

Elisabeth Nicola Turpin was born on the 30th of October. It was an unusually warm day and the sun was shining. The baby laughed when her Mother held her. Her eyes bright and large. Nicknamed Lisa, the child grew up in a loving environment with her mother and the regulars of the new pub. She never wanted for anything due to her Mother's penchant of spoiling her and the money pouring in from the pub whose Oyster and Seafood dishes were becoming quite famous.

She began showing signs of magic at the age of three. When her Mother caught her playing with a stray krup the girl had somehow lured in. From a young age Lisa was told her Father was an important striker from the football team Manchester United. She never once doubted it and from the day she was old enough to kick a ball, football became a passion of hers. Lisa saw her first match on her fourth birthday. She cheered for her Father.

Lisa had a sunny outlook and could make the most depressed customer laugh. It was her specialty. She made friends with everyone who visited. She attended the local grammar school and was popular with all of her muggle friends. Though she always sensed that there was something more to her.

When Lisa was about to turn eleven her Mother sat her down and gave her the big talk. She was a witch and would soon be starting school. The idea of Hogwarts sent a new joy through Lisa, who had always been a curious sort. She was obsessed with learning. Anything. Everything. And had constant obsessions. From Marine Biology to Witch burnings to Music to the French Revolution to Football to Grass to Monopoly. She had to learn about something new every day in order to feel she'd not wasted her day. She got her Hogwarts letter the following year and was sent to school on the first of September. Lisa was sorted into Ravenclaw and was soon mates with the boys in her year.

School was a plethora of information for Lisa, darkened by the coming of the dark Lord Voldemort. Lisa feared him with everyone else who believed he was back. Though she tended to sidetrack herself with sport and merriment. Lisa made a few new friends due to her Saturday morning routine of playing football on the pitch. She never was much aware of gender and as such has been looked upon as a bit of a tomboy. However, she is still a girl with girly feelings. She has had a crush on her best friend, *insert male here* throughout the years, though she didn't know how to tell him. And so she would react in the only way she knew. Slagging and friendly punches. Her fifth year brought little change to her daily routines. Her sixth year brought the knowledge that Voldemort was truly back. Terror ran through the U.K. and whilst Elspeth wished her daughter were with her in Whitby, she knew she'd never force Lisa to be somewhere other than where she wished. For when given freedom, one generally found their true path. Lisa clung tighter to her friends. Deaths and disappearances were frequent and Lisa was constantly afraid that she'd get an owl saying her Mother was dead. She had her first nightmares that year.

In June of 1997, the seventeen year old found herself dealing with her worst nightmare. On her way home from Tescos, Lisa found the horrifying sight of the Dark Mark over her pub. She ran in. Elspeth lay dead on the floor with a warning to bloodtraitor etched into the walls, the staff dead in the oyster tank. Lisa was taken to Hogwarts and spent the time locked in her room. She did not come out unless she had to for class. She spoke to no one. Her nights were spent on dreamless sleep potions lest her screams wake her dorm mates. It wasn't until the night of the final battle that Lisa finally began to become her old self. She followed the sounds of war and found her friends battling Death Eaters. She jumped in, rage boiling within her and began throwing every hex she'd learned from her obsession with the Dark Arts until she'd severely wounded one of the attackers. Her victory was short lived as she was attacked herself and spent the next three weeks in St. Mungo's with severe hexing damage to her stomach and thighs. She was able to re-connect with her friends and, after having a near-death experience in which she spoke with her mother, find closure. From 1998 until recently, Lisa ran her Mother's pub in Whitby until she decided it was easier to move on if she left. She left her pub in the care of muggle friends and followed the call of Annwn.

We are canon-based through Deathly Hallows. How do you see your character given canon? Lisa is one of the virtually unknown. And wasn't really mentioned as hanging with Padma or Mandy in their few mentions. I've always pictured her as a sort of tom-boy, tailing after the ravie trio of Michael, Terry and Anthony. She wasn't at the dueling club and wasn't in the DA (something she resents slightly) so I figured... why not have a halfblooded tomboy?

The fun part is with Lisa, she'll talk to and be nice to anyone. As long as they're nice to her she's fine. She's never been kissed. Never had a boyfriend and has only really fancied one boy in school (can be decided who whenever) so she's not all SHAG SHAG even though she IS human and does get lonely at times, she's also highly naive sometimes which will make things interesting on the whole.

What did your character do during the war? What brought/brings them to Annwn? What do you foresee them doing in the future?

Lisa fought in the Battle of Hogwarts then spent a deal of time in Mungo's recovering. After she hid herself away in Yorkshire before coming to Annwn for a new beginning. She heard it's call and she decided it was what she needed to truly move on from her Mother's death. In the future, I see Lisa making new friends and enemies and reconnecting with old ones. Finding her place in the scheme of things and essentially growing up.

What plots would you like to see involving your character, either personal or over-arching in the game? I'm game for pretty much anything!
